Vectra AI Extends Its Security Platform As Threats To Microsoft Systems Increase
Vectra’s platform uses its patented attack signal intelligence technology.
Vectra AI, provider of XDR (extended detection and response) security, announced that its Vectra AI Platform now includes more security for Microsoft Azure customers.
Vectra added over 40 “unique attacker behavior detections” for Microsoft Azure, the company said in a news release. With the new additions, Vectra said it offers Microsoft customers comprehensive hybrid and multi-cloud security for an entire Microsoft ecosystem including securing Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft M365, and Microsoft Copilot.
The Vectra AI platform employs the use of patented technology – known as attack signal intelligence—which Vectra said continuously learns customers’ Microsoft environments to “automatically connect the dots” on attackers’ behavior.
Some features of Vectra’s new extended AI platform include:
- Active Posture Dashboard that provides single pane of glass real-time monitoring and correction, and can identify security gaps in an Azure environment
- Custom querying against Azure logs
- AI-driven attacker behavior analytics
- Urgency scoring prioritizing the most critical threats detected
- Ability to view logs and metadata across network, identity, cloud, and gen AI attack surfaces
The news comes amid reports that there has been a significant uptick in attacks on Microsoft systems.
Vectra’s Managed Detected and Response (MDR) services reported a sixfold increase in attacks on Microsoft E5 customers between June and October 2024, Vectra said in a news release.
And according to Microsoft’s Digital Defense Report 2024, Microsoft customers face more than 600 million cybercriminal and nation-state attacks every day.
“We consistently hear from CISOs that they want AI to help them identify real threats, connect the dots in real-time, and deliver accurate, integrated attack signal to the SOC. This is especially true for CISOs securing rapidly sprawling Microsoft environments,” Hitesh Sheth, CEO and founder of Vectra AI, said in a news release. “No one is better than Vectra AI at delivering integrated attack signal in real-time.”
