Countries With The Highest Cyber Threat Risk And Ones With The Lowest: Report

You would be hard-pressed to find any country now that is 100% immune from cyber attacks. Cyber threats – breaches, ransomware, business email compromises, and every other digital scam you can think of-- are steadily rising as adversaries up their digital warfare on businesses, politicians, nations, and individuals.

A new report from MixMode.AI analyzed cyber threats across 70 countries. The report compiled data from the National Cyber Security Index (NCSI), the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI), the Cybersecurity Exposure Index (CEI), as well as Comparitech – all of which MixMode used to create its scoring system.

Scoring was broken down into several factors: a country's cyber security resilience, its exposure index, and its overall national risk.

In a statement to MES Computing about the findings, a spokesperson from MixMode said: "Over the last decade, several more European countries such as Finland, Norway, and Denmark have spent a large amount of money on the cybersecurity infrastructure. These nations concentrate on cyber resilience and proactive rather than reactive measures, which is evident from their high grades in several of the indices. This is largely due to national cybersecurity strategies, strong public-private partnerships, and the constant focus on cybersecurity education and innovation."
