5 Epic 'Big Tech'-GenAI Collaborations In 2024 (So Far)
Big Tech is pushing GenAI hard and fast.
Generative AI is on everyone's radar. Our recent MES Computing IT Leaders Tech Trends Survey 2024 provides keen insight into mid-market IT decision-makers' roadmaps including their plans for GenAI integration in their organizations.
Among a representative sample of 75 U.S. IT leaders surveyed, collectively, there is attention being paid to GenAI, with a healthy dose of skepticism.
Forty-three percent of those surveyed said that GenAI was "promising but immature." However, 33 percent are already using the technology in their operations, 19 percent are creating proofs-of-concepts, and 29 percent said they were "looking into" GenAI.
Of course, mid-market leaders with limited budgets, staff and other resources are wise to be judicious about selecting which technology to integrate into their environments. Large enterprises can afford to take more risk.
For instance, some of the biggest tech companies in the world are making a hard and fast push to integrate GenAI into their products and service offerings as evidenced by several recently announced collaborations:
5 Big Tech-GenAI Collaborations in 2024
Microsoft-Adobe (March 2024)
At the Adobe Summit conference, Microsoft and Adobe announced a collaboration that integrates Adobe Experience Cloud and Microsoft Copilot. Targeted to marketers, the venture aims to "bring relevant marketing insights and workflows from Adobe Experience Cloud applications and Microsoft Dynamics 365 to Microsoft Copilot, assisting marketers as they work in tools such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Word to develop creative briefs, create content, manage content approvals, deliver experiences and more," according to a statement from Microsoft.
Microsoft executive chairman and CEO, Satya Nadella, promoted the collaboration in a recent X post:
Amazon-Anthropic (March 2024)
